Watch: Another Appetizer for Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac
Another teaser for Lars von Trier’s upcoming Nymphomaniac has premiered today on the official website of the film. The clip features Charlotte Gainsbourg walking towards what seems to be a hospital. Stellan Skarsgård narrates the scene with his warm, raucous voice. The clip is shot in crispy clean black & white and looks gorgeous. It doesn’t really say or show much about the movie, so don’t worry about spoilers.
The description on the website reads: “Chapter 4 – Delirium. Delirium: Confusion. Delusion. Hallucination. The nymphomaniac’s father dies”. That would be Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg)’s father. The film is set to be released on Christmas Day in Denmark and in January 2014 worldwide. Looking good?

With a title like that, I’m sure it will be a controversial movie
. But then again, what do you expect from a Von Trier movie?
Oh yeah definitely! He sure knows how to market his films. It always works for me: I’m so excited! I wish I lived in Denmark 🙂
I recently watched his film Dancer In The Dark and I loved it, so I will definitely be taking a look at this when it’s released 🙂

Thanks 🙂 I had a feeling that it would be quite serious, but I wasn’t expecting the level of bleakness. When the final scene was on, I just sat, open mouthed, I literally couldn’t believe that it had ended that way. It was brilliant and I’m so glad that I finally got to watch it 🙂
